A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to invalid email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a typo. The negative aspect of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of junk email messages, but this issue can be rectified by using anti-spam protection software. It’s also essential to know that a mailbox with an active catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of features, but it’s amazingly easy to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes just one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be displayed in this section alphabetically and you’ll just have to click the "Catch-all" button for the concrete email address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes one more mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be enabled effortlessly in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have created with the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a mini icon conveniently situated directly next to each one of them. With just one single click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature using the contextual menu that will pop up. In case any of the conditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will notify you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
