Ubuntu in VPS Servers
With any of our VPS servers, you can decide on the Ubuntu Operating System from the order page. We are aware of the fact that some programs have particular requirements in terms of the Operating System they can be installed on, which means that you'll be able to choose between the 32-bit and the 64-bit edition of Ubuntu. You can also select whether the VPS should include the Hepsia Control Panel or with no Control Panel at all. In the first case, you'll have everything you will need pre-installed - MySQL, e-mail server, FTP, etcetera. software, and you can make everything from your online browser, but the root access will be restricted; whereas in the second case, you'll receive Ubuntu plus the Apache server software only, which means that you are able to install anything freely due to the full root access which you'll be given, but the server management tasks will be done using a console. Our system administrators will keep track of your VPS and upgrade the Ubuntu setup weekly if you add the optional Managed Services package which we offer.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
If the applications that you need to run require Ubuntu and plenty of system resources, you should opt for one of our dedicated web hosting plans and add this Operating System to your order with a single click. You can choose between the 32-bit and the 64-bit edition of your OS, based on which release your apps need to function properly and to get the most of your server hardware. Since you'll have full root access, you'll have full control over the software environment on the machine and you'll be able to set up anything you'd like. The Ubuntu-powered server doesn't feature a website hosting Control Panel, so you can manage your content using a Secure Shell console, yet if you'd like, you can install a third-party Control Panel and use a graphical interface to control your web sites. When you do not want to lose time taking care of the server, you can use the Managed Services package, that features many tasks done by our system administrators on your behalf. The upgrade includes routine updates of your Ubuntu OS as well.
